Iron and Wood Table

The inspiration for this piece comes from the history of the western mining town. In these mountain towns fortunes were made and lost and the towns themselves were boom and bust. This has left a legacy of abandoned structures strewn throughout our mountain valleys. Wandering the hillsides I’ve often come across mining remnants of iron and wood, a beautiful yet contradictory combination. The curved steel stretchers of this table are hand forged to exact dimensions, wrapping around the trestle legs to form a strong base. The table top is offered with a natural edge or a milled edge.
